Feel, Heal,
Grow

I am interested in the deep exploration of our internal worlds, and how insights from this can facilitate healing, growth and transformation.

I have always been fascinated by the soul’s journey, by how we find purpose and meaning, what makes our soul sing, what quashes the light that we carry and the subsequent journey from experiences of darkness back into wholeness. I offer psychotherapy, supervision and organisational consulting for healing, transformation and growth.

Hello, I’m Naintara Land, although I’ve always been known as Tara. I work in a relational way, meaning that I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the vehicle and container within which healing and positive change can happen. I am fully there with you on your journey, supporting you, bringing curiosity about patterns and narratives that might reveal themselves, and challenging these when appropriate.

My approach is integrative, and I draw on a range of theoretical frameworks including psychodynamic theory, neuroscience, and attachment. I am trauma-informed, and have also trained in EMDR, an evidence based intervention recommended by the NICE guidelines for post-traumatic stress disorder, that can also be effective in treating specific phobias and anxieties. As well as talking, I may introduce more creative ways of working where appropriate, as well as more body-based approaches to supporting regulation such as mindfulness and visualisation.

  • “Tara came highly recommended as a therapist as I needed to talk to someone who could help me understand how I was feeling as a result of issues with family members. Tara helped me understand why I was a target for there anger. My time talking with Tara has given me the confidence to successfully negotiate with overbearing people with compassion. I now feel calm. I now value myself in a way that I had not previously. This has improved the way I stand up for myself, in a firm but polite way. I cannot underestimate how much this has changed my whole outlook on life. I now have so many more positive thoughts. And I can focus on what is right for me and my family.”

    ADULT PSYCHOTHERAPY CLIENT

  •  “I always look forward to my sessions with Tara. I feel like I can say anything to her. I don’t think I’ve ever brought something up that she doesn’t have knowledge on! She is incredibly open-minded and has taught me so much. I’ve had various therapists on and off over the years and have found that liking and respecting your therapist is a must for you to benefit from the sessions. I have this with Tara and am extremely grateful to have found her.”

    PARENT WORK CLIENT

  • “Tara and I have met for clinical supervision for over a year now. Her care, knowledge and helpful insights, as well as her ability to see another, has been instrumental in supporting me to navigate challenging situations and dynamics with others. I would highly recommend Tara as a supervisor.”
